:Intro:
Welcome to Pixel Quest,
A card game where you can build your own deck by trading, bartering or buying our expansion packs!
This game requires a minimum of two players
(recommendation 2 to 3 players)
In order to start the game each player must have a full deck of 5 cards!
This deck includes: 3 character cards and 2 item cards
(which are included with one purchase of buying this game)
:How to play: classic mode:
Once you have an opponent with a deck of cards you can begin Start by having each of your players put their three character cards face up on a table or flat surface,
(Unless someone has the “Guess who” item card. Refer to Ability Sheet, located top right of this page)
Item cards should not be revealed until played.
To start, each player will roll the dice. The player with the highest roll will begin their turn first, followed by second highest, etc. Once the player's turns begin, the dice should be rolled again to determine the action roll.
:What you can do on a turn:
During your turn you have a few options:
you can choose to play either one or both item cards on any of your given turns.
You will also roll your dice for two attacks/special abilities per turn. An attack is a damage move on a card, while special abilities are moves such as Stun, Thorns, Heal..etc. You cannot use the same card twice in one turn
If an item card is used, it can cause the effect of the card to you or to another player. A dice roll may be required for specific item cards. Once an item card is played or a character card runs out of health, they should be flipped face down and put aside.
:Rolling a Successful/Unsuccessful/Critical- Action:
When using a character card during your turn, you must roll a dice to see if your action is successful. Any number from 2 to 5 leads to a successful hit and the card attacks as written.. However, rolling a 1 means the action fails and nothing happens. But Rolling a 6 means the action is super-effective and doubles the normal effect.
(A turn ends once both action's have been used.. The current player then passes the dice to the next player.)
You will take turns until one player is left standing.
:Last one standing, wins:
(To Keep track of the damage a card may take or heal, use a pen and paper to write down your character card's health.)
We understand this may not be an easy method, but we are working hard on a technology that will make this use of pen and paper a thing of the past.
